Peoples Dispensary for Sick Animals "The Lewis Trophy". An ornate silver plated tankard, approximately 105mm diameter, 170mm high. Engraved and base stamped "543" The sole reference relating to the P.D.S.A. on the internet refers to an award made in 1973 to a teenage girl from Dorset who was presented the award for helping a cat that had become entangled in barbed wire. Her name was Anita Jorgenson and the action took place 17-7-1973. Reference the Daily Echo and Advertiser of Bournemouth.
